Super Easy
Relaxation Exercise
The rhythm of our
breath is a powerful tool that we always carry with us,
and yet we rarely even notice it. Using the breath
consciously as a tool for relaxation is a very effective
means of relieving stress. Ancient sages have always
known this and scientific studies are
now proving that changing the rhythm of your
breath will change your mental state.
In
general breathing slowly and deeply will calm you
down and relieve stress while breathing faster will give
you more energy when you are tired. The next time you
feel stressed, try breathing in deeply and slowly ten
times and say the phrase "Peace and Calm" with each
breath. If you are more visual, you can imagine a
beautiful ocean beach. It really works!
Practice
Tip: Don't wait for stress to arrive. Practice
this exercise now and throughout this week and get
used to doing it so that when you are stressed you
will remember to use
it. |
